In our year in Córdoba, I think we visited the Mezquita-Catedral a dozen times. It's enormously beautiful on a close inspection—practically every corner holds some remarkable detail or curious carving. And then when you stand back and try to take as much in as your eyes can accommodate, you're struck by the imposing whole of it. You should visit.
