Indiana Blue Skies — Elkhart

Sep 15, 2016 — Evening
Personal notes:
Elkhart's one of those towns that falls somewhere between a village and a city. It's large enough, with enough industry, that it hosted President Obama for two speeches (one in 2009, due to holding the town holding the national high for unemployment; one in 2016 after things improved). But it's also small enough that it feels like a magical moment when you meet someone elsewhere in the country who also lived there.
I spent my junior high and high school years in Elkhart before marrying and moving to Phoenix. We returned after college and seminary to live there for a couple of years before moving to Spain.
Lake Michigan is just to the northwest, so there's constant cloud cover, and blue skies are a treat. The picture above exists for that reason only——the weather was beautiful, and I was enjoying the evening.
