I helped with an English-language club in L'Alcora, Spain. We did not yet have a car, and so I traveled by train from Benicàssim to Castellón, and then by bus from Castellón to L'Alcora. The timing of all of this public transport was such that I often arrived a few hours early and spent my time drinking a café con leche and wandering through the small town. Finding this staircase again on Google Maps took some effort, but in the end it was manageable. Alcora is located in a region famous for its ceramic tiles, and this staircase is meant to highlight that fact. I am not certain, but I believe the reference to the Taller de Empleo L'Alcora 2011 indicates that this was tiled by a group of individuals learning the trade.
