Our long 2016 drive finally landed us in Lancaster, PA. I had not spent much time in the Mid-Atlantic region before this trip, and I was not aware at the time I took this picture we'd end up living in Lancaster. Life takes unexpected turns.

The theater in the picture is the Fulton Theatre1. I'm certain there are better photos of it, and maybe I should go take one, but the evening I took this, I was mostly just caught off guard2 by the lighting.

  1. The Fulton prefers "Theatre." I still use "theater" as a noun.↩

  2. I had to look up whether "off guard" should include a hyphen. Apparently, it's hyphenated when used as an adjective, and it's non-hyphenated——or unhyphenated (I can't help myself)——when used as an adverb. So, that's something.↩
