This is a second photo from on top of the castle in Peñiscola——I have a few more to post later. I mentioned in the last post that I was standing on the beach, late one evening in 2008, and dreaming out loud about possibly ministering in Spain. I believe the exact spot is visible in this photo, on the beach to the right-hand side of the image, about where the nearest pair of palm trees is standing.
It's been interesting to me to go through these photos from a decade ago and realize I can find, in many cases, the exact place I was standing when I took them.
Lately, as a family, we've been intentionally printing photos from prior years to look at together. The kids have found the whole practice much more delightful than I expected, and my wife and I have found it much more emotional than either of us expected.
