Posting this so close to my post about the Yuengling brewery, it'll seem like visting breweries is a thing I do. I think it had more to do with the mid-2010's zeitgeist among American men——it seemed like I kept getting invitations to some brewery tour when we were in the US. They were all brewing beer in their garages and touring breweries on the weekends.
So, it's not really a thing I do, but it's a thing I did a few times. I find production tours of any kind fairly interesting. It seems like a lot of them have stopped post-pandemic, which is a disappointing development. Those that have re-opened are charging more for the experience, which is also a disappointing development.
